RURAL NORTH WEST DEANERY
COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN

COMMISSIONS

The Rural North West Deanery Council of Catholic Women programs are contained and carried out in seven committees known as the Commission System. Four of these commissions identify the societies “surrounding the lives” of every individual  - FAMILY, CHURCH, COMMUNITY, INTERNATIONAL.

The additional three are ORGANIZATIONAL SERVICES, LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY and RURAL LIFE.

Each Parish should have chairman for each of the seven commissions.

INTERNATIONAL CONCERNS COMMISSION
The International Concerns Commission promotes responsibility for the world community, through a conviction that wealth and resources must be shared with all peoples. In response to this call for global solidarity, the commission creates awareness and education to the needs of women and children throughout the world. The International Concerns Commission encourages RNWDCCW members to generously support the programs of Works of Peace, Works of Reconciliation and the Refugee Woman Emergency Fund - in partnership with Catholic Relief Service (CRS).

NCCW has been committed to solidarity with women world-wide for over 85 years. In 2006, we celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the NCCW/CRS partnership for the benefit of our sisters in the developing world.

Works of Peace Programs
Help A Child programs assist vulnerable children around the world, wherever the need is greatest, by providing nutritious meals, implementing local health car, sustaining education, establishing youth center, and more.
Madonna Plan fund projects that empower women by improving the well-being of mothers and expectant mother in the areas of health, education, and financial security.

Works of Reconciliation Programs
Refugee Women Emergency Fund helps meet the vast need for relief and compassion to women in emergencies - refugees, displace persons, and victims of natural disaster. This program was established to ensure that those most vulnerable (woman and their children) have access to gender-specific resources over and above what is provide during emergency efforts.
